Autumn Budget 2023


The chancellor of the exchequer, Jeremy Hunt, delivered the autumn statement to the House of Commons on 22 November 2023, labelling it as an “autumn statement for growth”. Here's a brief overview of the main key points:

  • National Minimum Wage Increase from April 2024

  • Class 2 National Insurance Scrapped from April 2024

  • Employee National Insurance Cut from 12% to 10% from January 2024

  • Class 4 National Insurance Reduced from 9% to 8% from April 2024

  • Business Rate Relief - 75% Discount for Retail, Hospitality and Leisure Businesses Extended to 2025
